Polish database which is being created by over 20 scientific libraries; by our Library as well. It is the Polish Technical Journal Contents bibliographic database listing over 500 journal titles from the range of engineering and technology.

The BC Open Textbook Project is funded by the BC Ministry of Advanced Education and managed by BCcampus. One goal of the project is to provide flexible and affordable access to higher education resources in BC by making openly licensed textbooks available. These texts are available for selection by BC faculty, and digital versions of the texts are free of charge to students. For those who prefer a printed copy, this format is available on demand for a low cost. This is the first government-funded initiative of its kind in Canada

The Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL) is an open access digital library for biodiversity literature and archives. The BHL is a worldwide consortium of natural history, botanical, research, and national libraries working together to digitize the biodiversity literature held in their collections. The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Library officially joined the BHL in 2014.

EThOS is the UK’s national open access thesis service which aims to maximise the visibility and availability of the UK’s doctoral research theses. There are approximately 350,000 records relating to theses awarded by over 120 institutions. Around 120,000 of these also provide access to the full text thesis, either via download from the EThOS database or via links to the institution’s own repository. Of the remaining 250,000 records dating back to at least 1800, three quarters are available to be ordered for scanning through the EThOS digitisation-on-demand facility.
