The Fujairah Digital Library of the Fujairah Univeristy was established in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and with the generous support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and under the supervision of His Excellency Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani, Special Advisor to His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah. It aims to support education, scientific research, and community service through an integrated knowledge environment. The digital platform was launched in 2021 to provide knowledge resources to the academic and general community, and these efforts were crowned by the official opening of the library building in March 2023 in the presence of the wise leadership.

The FU Library promotes intellectual growth and creativity, adopting innovative knowledge management by developing collections, facilitating easy access to electronic and other resources, teaching the effective use of information resources, and advancing learning, evaluation skills, innovation, and research, to serve the users, whether at the Fujairah University or the Fujairah community

Use cutting-edge technology to provide quick access to high-quality, relevant information resources to support the learning, teaching, and research activities of the FU and to advance the study and Community in the UAE

By the end of academic year 2022-2025, the FU Library will advance in the following areas: -

Holdings

  • Through the collective efforts of faculty, staff, and students, the FU library's collection will expand to 12,000 titles.
  • FU libraries will build a collection of current periodicals and multi-media materials to support the current and future curriculum.

Services

  • FU library will satisfy patron needs with print, online electronic and multi-media materials.

Facilities

  • FU library will provide a supportive and comfortable atmosphere for library patrons to gain practical knowledge of current technologies and equipment (e.g., Wi-Fi zones, copier machines, PC, Laptop, Tablet).

Staff

  • FU library staff will continue to develop as a friendly and qualified staff to support the FU in its mission, vision, and goals.
